Epileptic Spouse

My significant other was diagnosed with epilepsy when we were in high school (6-7 yrs ago). We now have two children a toddler and an infant. The problem that I'm running into is the fact that he body is trigger to seize if he wakes up really early, if he doesn't get enough sleep, and of course stress. He has lost jobs on the count of having seizures and not being able to come in or because he was absent too many times. With our current daycare situation and the conflict in times his only option is to work third shift. And on certain days out of the week our youngest stays home with him, but I'm not sure what to do because getting off really early in the morning and trying to rest up is hard to do with little one who is still demanding 4mos.  I've suggested that he shouldn't but he's very adamant about working which I can understand but if something comes out while I'm away and he has to watch the children then I'm blamed for not considering his condition and the stress. Anyone else experience this or have any advice on what to do? Every solution I try doesn't seem to be good enough. The daycare our oldest goes to offer to help certain days, my parents offer help but they don't understand that he can't just up and get the baby or that he can't up and take the baby at a moments notice. I'm struggling to keep it together, but I'm really contemplating quitting my job since I have no one to watch them especially the youngest.
