What type of seizure do I have?

Fri, 04/26/2019 - 07:46
I have had this what I call "a body stutter" and it usually happens when I'm really tired and get up quickly or highly stressed. I am taking medication, it still happens. I have talked with my neurologist and I don't think I'm describing it right to him. I can feel something is wrong before it happens like I'm not able to focus and I also have a tingling feeling in my upper back and head. When that comes on I know I have to grip on to something so I don't fall. I'm not sure what kind of seizure I might be having, because it only happens in seconds and it may happen several times in the morning till my medication kicks in. I get very frustrated because I have no control as I'm sure do others with seizure issues. If someone could help me figure this out.

Hi MSPlavcan,Thank you for sharing your experience. We know if can be very frustrating to feel like you have no control over your seizures. We encourage you to keep trying to talk with your neurologist. Sometimes writing down what you’re feeling can help when explaining your symptoms to your doctors. My Seizure Diary is a great tool for tracking seizures and other symptoms you may be experiencing, which may be helpful when communicating with your doctors https://www.epilepsy.com/living-epilepsy/epilepsy-foundation-my-seizure-diary
