What kind of seizures am I having?

Mon, 01/29/2018 - 13:55
I am in no way new to epilepsy but this makes the second type of seizure that I have had. The first was one that plagued me as a child, I would wake up in the middle of the night to intense ringing in the ears and eyes rolling to the back. I was aware and capable of communicating and moving around. Motor control was not affected in this case. What is new is what has happened twice now, I will wake up to intense twitching on the right side and after about a minute everything will tense up and become unresponsive. At this point there is intense pressure in both eyes which feels the same way when they are crossed and pointed up. Eyes are closed. I can feel and remember everything up until the point where I eventually pass out from it and when I wake up on the other side of a currently unknown length of time there will be no difficulty in getting up and going about what I need to do. The first time it happened, it was a weird feeling I thought that I had slept wrong until it went full seizure. There was going to be a second time but it appears that splashing water on my face had negated whatever was going to happen, and the third time I had gone into full seizure before I could get to a faucet. Does anyone know what is going on? I have taken some carbamezipine left over from when I was a kid but not sure how effective it will ultimately be.

you need to contact a neurologist and tell them what is happening to you. Tell them about the seizures you had as a child then about the ones you have today. The medicine you took as a child probably did not work because they have a certain period of time that they can be used
