RNS on post surgical patients

Thu, 10/05/2017 - 21:30
I was recently told by my doctors at a major medical center that RNS would not be a good option because previous surgery on my right temporal lobe leaves me with scar tissue that would be difficult for the RNS leads to penetrate. This doctor suggested more surgery on that right temporal lobe. At a second opinion a doctor told me that their center could implant leads on that right temporal lobe with no problem, and RNS was an excellent option for me. I want to hear from others who have RNS treatment on brain tissue which has had previous surgical removal of tissue.
