Brain Zaps/Electric Shocks

Wed, 09/26/2018 - 00:50
I have been having these brain zaps that are like sudden electric jolts to my head. I dont fall out and convulse. I just instantly grab my head like I'm falling for a split second, then I start to come back to but everything is foggy, vision and hearing. In most recent cases, these are followed by a horrific panic attack that has landed me in the ER 3 times in the last 2 months. They are happening so often that I'm unable to drive and am almost secluding myself from the public in fear of them happening in front of others. So far I've had: 30day heart monitor-showed high heart rate at times, which would be during the panic parts of it. 40min EEG- Inconclusive 72hr Amb EEG- Inconclusive but showed "artifact"<---not sure what that really means. Next, I am being admitted into the hospital for an inpatient EEG w/ video monitor. I'm afraid that we will still find nothing specific and have wasted all of this time. Has anyone heard of something like this before?? Does this sound like seizure activity?

Did you recently discontinue any medications? That happens when people discontinue SSRIs and lasts about 8 weeks if they wean off too fast
