Am I developing new symptoms?

Hi there,

4 months ago I developed what I think is TLE.
My symptoms at the beginning were a extreme deja vu of a dream I’ve never had, extreme fear and anxiety, intense nausea and sometime vomiting, ear buzzing and then the end would be a very low very exhausted feeling.

This hasn’t changed much but the deja vu is less intense and specific in my mind. The low feeling isn’t as low. The fear isn’t as scary. But the vomiting is violent and sudden and before I’d battle through the nausea especially if I was at work, trying to hide what was happening and act normal. Now I have to run to the toilet and have a few times not made it.

Two other things I seem to now have is facial twitching. If I think about anything horrible, embarrassing, dirty, nasty etc my face will twitch, almost like a tic. Then if I think ‘oh no I just twitched again’ I will get even more twitchy. This has only started since this TLE possible development.

And lastly I can have days of 10-20 episodes of deja vu. But not normal deja vu. More of a deja vu of a thought or feeling. Is this related?

I’m still over a month away from my first numerology appointment and things already feel like they have changed

Can anybody relate?

Hi, Thank you for posting, it

Hi, Thank you for posting, it sounds like you’ve been going through a lot. We are happy to hear that you’re scheduled to see a neurologist to explore this further. We cannot determine if you’re developing new symptoms, but you may want to call your neurologist’s office to discuss this to see if they have any recommendations or suggestions while you wait for your appointment, or see if they’re able to get you in earlier. It’s important that you're documenting how your feeling and these symptoms you’ve described experiencing in detail (like you’ve done in your post), which will be very helpful to review with your neurologist, who will help determine what individual treatment plan is best for you. Tracking and documenting your episodes may also be helpful in detecting any patterns and identifying potential triggers. https://www.epilepsy.com/learn/managing-your-epilepsy/tracking-my-seizur... can take on many different forms and affect different people in different ways. For some symptoms during a seizure usually are stereotypic (occur the same way or similar each time), or episodic (come and go), and may be unpredictable. Some commonly reported symptoms before, during and after a seizure include, nausea or other stomach feelings (often a rising feeling from the stomach to the throat), sounds and “strange” feelings and fear/panic (often negative or scary feelings), Déjà vu (a feeling that a person, place or thing is familiar, but you've never experienced it before), or Jamais vu (feeling that a person, place or thing is new or unfamiliar, but it's not). Yes, the fear, anxiety and twitching are no fun.  Mild nausea, but feelings of suffocation and agitation with pacing.  I had jamais vu, not deja vu.  It is getting better in Lamotrigine and Clobazam.  Still tweaking dosages.  Seizure diary!  Good luck and keep posting.
