Trouble in chat

Wed, 12/13/2006 - 23:13
All I have is one question? Why do they bother putting an admin in our chat room if they dont do anything? I tried private chatting the @admin on 2 different occasions tonight about 2 members S8TR and some tommy person causing trouble and calling other members offensive names. This is totally uncalled for!!!! We are here because we want to be and because for most of us.....we need to be. This isnt the first time I have wrote for help or tried private messaging the @admin and nothing seems to be getting done. When you do get answers they say well let us look into it and thats it. This is so uncalled for !!!! Ok i am done venting.

To everyone, Thanks very much for your help. Admin is in and out of chat - it (he/she) does not moderate the forum 24/7. Please feel free to PM the admin, but if he/she is not right there, send email to webmaster@zoomedia.com and to moderator@epilepsytdp.org. We do f/u on concerns.

We have had an increasing number of problems in the chat room with people using offensive language, being rude and insulting, and other inappropriate behavior. Everyone should read and abide by the terms of use of this site! Also, please note that this chat is not restricted by age and act accordingly and appropriately.

Thanks to everyone for your support and help.

"it,s not the crazy people you worry about---its the one,s that don,t know it. R.C Hi I bumped this because although I have never seen the cussing I think there should be some sort of basic ground rule sheet made up for "chat manners" or something to that effect. Most of the talk ,chat usually ends up being HI, how r u. fine ,ok, gotta go, bye, see ya, later, hi, oh, not a huge prob. but a topic of any kind is impossible like this because of the intteruption LONG intteruptions and the topic gets lost. I,m not whining ,but I know I am not the only person to see or say this. This very thing just happened witha lot of users on there and there never was any topic ever for hrs because of the constant interruption of people just saying what they wanted when they wanted. no manners. Can someone please understand this and help to make a small "manners" sheet hey and maybe a suggestion box for topics? like the ones for the smiles etc. just a thought Rick
