Report on drugs in water?
Thu, 03/13/2008 - 15:08Did anyone else read about the study which found various drugs in water sources around the country? Common things like caffeine and ibuprofen I can understand, but what I found most interesting was all the instances of AEDs (carbamazepine and phenytoin specifically) found in different states.
Anyone got a theory why so many AEDs?
There are various articles on CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/03/10/pharma.water1.ap/index.html#cnnSTCText, http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/03/12/pharmawater.standards.ap/index.html) each with maps showing the different states and what was found.
