Chiropractic Neurology

Has anybody ever done any therapy with a chiropractic neurologist?  I have been in a program since last year, but I don't seem to be having much luck with it.  I do eye exercises, cold laser treatments, balance work, and adjustments.  How long should I continue with this before I decide it's just not worth the effort.  Are there any other therapies that anyone has tried with success?

My cat began having seizures several months ago.  Her seizures were very violent and became more frequent each day until she was seizing 4-6 times daily.  She had negative bloodwork, so the next step by the vet was medication.

Because I work with cold laser as a therapist, I knew it was supposed to be helpful with seizures.  I used it my cat for 1 minute and her seizures changed from grand mal to a few smaller seizures that night, then ceased the next day.  After about month, she again began to have seizures, and again I used the laser.

We have continued with this for several months and I am getting ready to purchase my own laser so I can treat her every couple of weeks to prevent the seizures.

How long and how often do you use the laser for?  What company do you purchase this laser from and how much does it cost?  I am getting conflicting reports on cold laser therapy and seizures, and I am trying to get some answers.

Well, if you've been doing this treatment since last year and it was the intention that it was to help control your seizures, then I think it's not worth the effort.

I consider myself to be pretty savvy when it comes to successful treatments and you can be sure that if I've heard of it, I'll investigate it, especially in the medical journals, however, when I did a search on the topic of cold laser treatments, every single article I read on the subject stated that it was not recommended for those with epilepsy and that there have been no known studies done on the safety of this practice and epilepsy.  Nor can I find any clinical studies that have been done or are being conducted on the use of cold laser treatments and epilepsy. So, with that being said, I think you're getting a run for your money.
