Ovarian Cyst ...connection with seizures???

Thu, 02/18/2010 - 21:49

I was recently in the emergency room due to severe pain in my lower abdominal, pelvic area and lower back which appeared to be in my right kidney.  This pain was so severe that it not only had me rolling on the floor in pain but also was stopping me from being able to urinate.  The pain would last for 3 hours at a time and then subside into a dull pain in my right pelvic area only.  Due to the nature of the pain, immediately doctors thought I had kidney stones, however after having bloodwork, urine tests, and ultrasound, they found that my kidneys were functioning normal, however I had a large cyst on my right ovary.

I am 30 years old right now, but have always had that dull pain in my right pelvic area and stomach.  Several tests were done but nothing was ever found, i've had several ultrasounds in the past, however this was my first transvaginal ultrasound and that is how they detected the cyst.  It is quite possible that I have had this cyst for several years and it is just now starting to cause me severe pain problems.

Strange thing is, my seizures normally occur during my menstrual cycle.   I had my first seizure at 16 yrs old probably about 4 or 5 months after first experiencing this pain.  I was wondering if there could possibly be a link between my seizures and the cyst on my ovary.   Myperiods have always been very painful, so severe that from the age of 16-22 I would have to go to the emergency room and they would have to relieve my pain with demoral and gravol shots, as well as give me iv for dehydration (although I do drink plenty of fluids).

I wont be able to see my doctor for another week so i thought that in the mean time I would see what you all had to say.

Hi there, I have seizures

Hi there, I have seizures since I can remember, but then again everyone of us are born with all of our hormones, they are just activated at different points in our life. I had febrile when I was very young, moved on to drop attacks, had a few years clear, but as soon as I hit puberty, 1 week before and 1 week after, I always had between 6-7 complex partials, although trying where possible to keep them well hidden, needles to say tablets did not work. I believe it is possible a cyst could cause this, although im no doctor, I recently went for some tests, and there diagnosis was that I had metabolic epilepsy, effected by food, however I went to my doctors with a swelling in my abdomen, it wasn't causing me any grief as such, apart from being a bit uncomfortable, and I was sent up for a Ultrasound and wow and behold, a 20x10x6 Cyst, showed up, ive got to go for another test, but hopefully it will be taken out within a month, even, the Gyneocolist said, there is every possibility that when the cyst is gone, I may not have seizures. any more; if this is to happen I will be so happy, I have had 46 years so far of not being able to drive and wondering all the time, but please guys ask the question it's worth it.Julie

Hi Abie you need to get

Hi Abie you need to get checked still as if it's a Dermoid a small percentage can turn nasty, don't leave it to chance get yourself looked at. If it's a normal cyst Ive read that beets, apple cider vinegar and black molasses can help to shrink them, but large cysts need to be looked at professionally, and dermoids hold components like teeth, hair and gland, so all the shrinking in the world isn't going to and won't stop you getting an infection if it ruptures, so see a doctor to check.

I just wanted to send a note

I just wanted to send a note to thank marvelspelltemple @gmail. com for the little girl we got to cuddle today. My first interaction with Doctor Muna about Infertility Spell process, I was scared and had a lot of questions. However Doctor Muna was always there for me throughout the whole process and became a part of the family. The most precious moments were spent looking at the first ultrasounds of our little miracle and watching her heartbeat for the first time. Moments I will not forget for the rest of my life. I am so thankful that I went to marvelspelltemple @gmail. com as he knew exactly what type of protocol to put me on that was right for me. This was our first and only attempt and thankfully it worked. Again, thank you all for your expertise and compassionate Miracle. Because of it I will have a lifetime of memories of our little girl!
