Had My First Seizure Last Saturday
Tue, 09/30/2014 - 17:20So over the summer, I started dropping things and doing jerks. At first, everybody thought I was clumsy. It happened mainly when I had either hot or cold foods/drinks in my hands. So after awhile, they sent me to Chicago University Children's Hospital (I'm 13). They gave me an EEG (which I thought was EGG at first). At first, it was a pre-dispostion of seizures, which may have been passed down from my father's side of the family. I started taking medication for it which stopped the jerking, but I would zone out.... A LOT. It worked for about 2 weeks, until last Saturday. I was watching Naruto on the computer and had my first seizure. They raised my dosage after they found out I had JME. It's been going good although I've been hallucinating a lot. So ummm....Yea.
