Reading all of these comments with great interest because of the lack of effectiveness of the various medications that I have been prescribed over the years... and will be discussing with my doctor this week.

I have had epilepsy for 15

I have had epilepsy for 15 years now and keppra only made my seizures worse. But everyone reacts differently. I've been on 6 different meds and seriously wanting to talk to my dr about this stuff, because I still am having absence seizures slip through.

Incase epplilepsy is not controlled through medicines then leaving patients alone can be risky. Consult doctor and act on advice

I am sorry about your daughter. I got epilepsy (also starts with aura) for a stroke at 29. Before the stroke, I had migraines which started with an aura. The only thing they found to cause the stroke was a PFO (tiny hole in my heart) that allowed a clot to pass though my heart and to my brain. The DRs decision was to close the hole. He told me that my migraines would go away, and what do you know, they did! I am also taking the highest dosage of keppra and and considering CDB oil in addition.  I said all this because 25 percent of people have a PFO and the have no symptoms, I used be a runner, never smoked, drugs, and didn’t have high blood pressure. They only find out they have a stroke :(

I have had epilepsy going on

I have had epilepsy going on 15 years now and I have 2 different types of seizures and am on 3 different medications. All at the highest dosage. Just recently I feel like the I have started to grow immune to them but definitely not the side effects. I am willing to try the CBD oil and I know that feeling high is not a side effect. But is anyone able to tell me if there are any others? Such as being sleepy, change in appetite etc.

I have been on seizure meds for 29 years and the side effects seem to be getting worse. I have an appointment with my neurologist today, and one with a Medical marijuana Doctor on Wednesday to discuss CBD oil. Even though I am not having any seizures, I  don't like the way I feel most of the time, and I want to start a slow transition from meds to CBD oil.
