Tue, 11/23/2004 - 00:28
i've hear alot of people with TLE also have problems with hormone imbalance, like low testosterone/ androgen that cause problems like infertility, low sperm counts. has anyone been treated for TLE related fertility problems, if so how was it treated? My husband has TLE and is have hormone problems but won't go to the doc for them. so may be if i can give him an idea of how it might be treated he won't be scared to go.

          Hello ,

I was about 20 yrs. old. .  I was on the drug Mesantoin 100 mg. . Since I was age 7 till mid 20s. The drug came off the market then.  I was diagnoused with a eye disease Keratoconus.  I was told it was hormone related my corneas warped and now need a cornea transplant.  A hormone imbalance was the cause.  My male hormones were very low.  My reprodictive doc. told me people with seizures can have a low hormone count.  Though the medication was also the cause too.
