Worried mum question about daughter.

Wed, 06/19/2019 - 18:08
My daughter is 10 years old. For the past month she has been complaining of severe stomach ache and occasional headache. At school yesterday her teacher noticed she was not writing and went over to check on her. As she looked up apparently her eyes were glazed over. My daughter said at this point she had what I think is acid reflux in her throat and could not hear her teacher but could see her outline. My daughter then passed out and went stiff before jerking for what they say was no more than a minute. When I arrived at the school about and 45 minutes later as I had to rush back from work she was led down and seemed not really with it. Her heart rate kept speeding up and then slowing down and her BP was low. As this stabilised they asked her to try and stand at which point it dipped she went white and her lips blue and said she felt unwell. After another half hour or so she seemed to perk up, they gave her some food and she stabilised. They decided not to hospitalise but booked her into GP the following day. We went home and she was exhausted she slept the rest of the day. And woke with a pounding head ache. I took her to hospital and they did temp and bp and urine and all was fine so sent us home with an open access emergency number to paeds. This morning she has woken and the head ache is still bad and she has stomach ache. She also keeps feeling hot to touch but has no temp. She is also saying her throat hurts and it’s so bad she feels like she can’t breathe. She has slept all day. Had a tiny bit to eat then went back to bed for the night. GP saw her today and has said they think it’s just her hormones but she may be brewing a virus. Obviously as a mum I am really worried. I just wondered; 1. Has this ever happened to anyone else? 2. Do I need to worry it is epilepsy or just take what the Dr says that it’s hormonal? I apologise if I am being neurotic and wasting your time but anxious and want to make sure I do not need to ask for further tests. Many thanks.
