Clearing up the confusion about Medical Marijuana

Cannabis is an important part of my seizure treatment plan along with regular seizure medication. I wanted to share that with everyone and let them know if there are any questions about it I am happy to answer. Remember I can't give medical advice, I can't tell you were to get it, I can't advise that it is the right choice for you or safe for you to try. But I can share my experiences with anyone who asks, There is nothing wrong with that. It seems everyone's questions are answered by the most generic auto-post releasing this site of any liability but not helping anyone at all, epilepsydotcom you can do way better than this: "Hi, Thank you for posting and we understand your concerns.Prior to making any changes to her treatment plan it’s important you’re continuing to follow-up with her healthcare team, to determine what’s best for them and if them experiences any changes side effects, symptoms, seizure types/ frequency and behaviors. The effects and risks of so-called recreational drugs vary greatly, they may directly affect the brain and seizures or interact with seizure medications: https://www.epilepsy.com/learn/triggers-seizures/drug-abuse It’s important that you discuss these questions further with their doctor, who can determine how marijuana may or may not affect their individual treatment plan. Learn more about medical marijuana and questions to review with her healthcare team, here: https://www.epilepsy.com/learn/treating-seizures-and-epilepsy/other-treatment-approaches/medical-marijuana-and-epilepsy Additionally, you may always contact our 24/7 Helpline, where trained information specialists are available to answer your questions, offer help, hope, support, guidance, and access to national and local resources. 1-800-332-1000, or contactus@efa.org. epilepsy.com/helpline"
