How do you remember to take your medication?

Hello-I'm new here-I was diagnosed with epilepsy about 2 yrs ago. I had a seizure shortly after my son was born, and the EEG revealed epilepsy. I've been taking Lamictal 100mg in the morning and evening, and for the past few weeks I've been having a lot of trouble remembering to actually take it. I think partly this is due to some kind of resentment that I have to take it-if that makes any sense? I use a pill box, keep it by my nightstand, kept a small stash of lamictal in the kitchen incase I'm too lazy to actually get the pill box out of the bedroom. Honestly, the time comes to take it, I have every intention of taking it and the I wake up or get to work and realize that I didn't take it. I understand the dangers of inconsistency, and I really need to get better at this. Thanks in advance!

Jacky99 your boyfriend isn't 'nagging' you to be a pain in the neck, he's reminding you because he loves you.

Woo......I HAVE to use a pill sorter so that I don't overdose. I've been taking meds for numerous health problems for almost 20 years, so I USUALLY remember to take it. However, I need a pill sorter because I take 6 different meds & my memory is very bad. So, I'd either end up not taking it or taking it too many times. Lisa "I have Epilepsy. I can remember to take them. It is getting a little more difficult now. Once in awhile I cant remember if I took them or not. When this happens I sit down and calmly think about anything different that happened when I took them to differentiate between all the other times I took them. Did I use water or juice? Was the bottle sitting on the left or right of the cabinet. Little things like this jar my memory and I recall taking them. If I dont remember taking them I take them.
