Can Adrenaline cause seizures?

Mon, 04/19/2010 - 11:19
I was wondering if anybody else has had issues with seizures while playing sports when their adrenaline is pumping. I had a seizure at my fist softball game of the season last week and it has been almost since last summer when I had a seizure that was also at a softball game? My first thought was because I was dehydrated but this time we had just started playing and I had plenty to drink all day. I am wondering if adrenaline has anything to do with my seizures during softball, I don't play any other team sports so I don't have any other times where I have my adrenaline pumping or a little anxiety. Anybody else have any experience with something similar t this, what are your thoughts?

Good idea to create a list of your seizure triggers. I have taken this on board myself to have a look at exactly what is making these things.

Please read all my comments - Beta Blocker & ENZO: Proffessional (google the ENZO: Proffessional Dossie) Interesting reading on the case studies. The Beta Blocker has stopped everything after three & a half years of seizures. I have muli triggers and everything has stopped dead in it's tracks since I started taking them. If I miss just one dose it's all back tho. I feel fresh, alive and very active again, all the fatigue has gone and I sleep well every night. I've had no more seizures from emotional triggering while on these tablets. TV and Movies have loud music with high pitch (strings)are the worst for me and very low rumbling makes me shake. If it gets to my head I would seizure. Period time and night when tired or just doing too much anytime would start the trumers or movements, then shaking and finally a seizure. As I said, all stop on BETA BLOCKER - for me no side effects and out of your system with 8 or 12 hours depending on the dose. I take half morning, afternoon and night each tablet 50mg. It is used for heart problems and very effective for people with is disorder too. See your Cardiologist as they see more people with this than a GP and they are specialists, as for me they all thought I had pseudoseizuers.

A misdiagnosis and I had no life. Now I do.

I was tested and confirmed with one side of my adrenal slightly bigger than the other producing double adrenaline. Blood test and scan picked it up. I was in 24/7 hour flight fight response and my triggers were light, sound, pain, surprise, stress of any kind on my body or mind and I had fatigue all the time. The Beta Blocker has returned me back to normal health with no side effects. I also take Enzo: Professional to help my brain recover from all the seizures and head injury from the falls - 2/caps aday morning. I am very alert, active and seizure free! I was told my body was over adrenalized and I did not have epilepsy therefore I was not placed on any drugs for epilepsy. In the begaining all the tests came back negative to everything the GP's tested and a misdiagnosis of Pseudoseizues or Psychogenic nonepilepic seizuers. I was lucky I meet a great man, a Cardioloist who really listened and within 10 mins of our first meeting, said "I think I know what's wrong with you" pulled out his script pad and said "take these straight away and within one hour you will be feeling much better." Also said "this would have damage your heart if left untreated" Told my husband and I "it wasn't a matter of IF but WHEN you will die by misadventure if this continued." I rang the cariologist the next day to say I felt much better and then I had all the tests which confirmed his orginal diagnoses within 4 weeks of our first meeting. Three and half years of seizures daily and weekly. I have ZERO seizures - I was put on Beta Blocker 2011 and I haven't looked back...I have my life back and my family have there mother and wife again...
