Can Adrenaline cause seizures?

Mon, 04/19/2010 - 11:19
I was wondering if anybody else has had issues with seizures while playing sports when their adrenaline is pumping. I had a seizure at my fist softball game of the season last week and it has been almost since last summer when I had a seizure that was also at a softball game? My first thought was because I was dehydrated but this time we had just started playing and I had plenty to drink all day. I am wondering if adrenaline has anything to do with my seizures during softball, I don't play any other team sports so I don't have any other times where I have my adrenaline pumping or a little anxiety. Anybody else have any experience with something similar t this, what are your thoughts?

Hi Phylis,

Actually, if you read up Medical Texts, 'Adrenal Fatigue' is not an acceptable diagnosis per se. I was given a run-through of all adrenal-tests because the endocrinologists (yeah a whole team of them!) were quite convinced my adrenals were out of order.

Oh forget medical tests, here, a reply from a MayoClinic doc regarding this condition: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/adrenal-fatigue/AN01583

I happen to have one side of my adrenals slightly bigger than the other, and one particular hormone was running amok in my body. So Ive been thrugh the mill being tested for adrenal issues.

I have often thought this for myself. I have found fatigue and lack of sleep a big issue. All I need at that point is some sort of emotional trigger and it wont stop. This may come from violent movie, my life, accident - as you say tripping over something accidentally - all of these factors producing the start of the seizure. It has gotten worse as I have aged and around pregnancy.
