cranial osteopathy & seizures

Thu, 05/14/2009 - 00:31

my 8 1/2 year old daughter has had intractable seizures for the past 3 years. Recently an osteopath said that cranial osteopathy may help. Does anyone know about this?

I have tried Cranial Sacral Therapy on my 3 1/2 year old daughter with simple partial seizures caused by Cortical Dysplasia. We go weekly and she is doing really well. I haven't seen her "typical" seizure since we started in March '09. She is also still on Topomax and we weaned her off of Keppra since then. We are now weaning her off of Topamax (we are going for a 5 day video EEG  at Cleveland CLinic and I want to make sure the seizures are there) and I am now noticing her sleepiness and stomachaches are returning. I just can't figure out if they are seizures or not.

We have also done other alternative therapies as well. I am willing to try anything non-invasive to help her and get her off of the meds!!
