Talk About Seizure Medicines, Generics, and More

Epilepsy News From: Monday, June 11, 2018

Facebook Live on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at 8 p.m. ET

Seizure medicines are a lifeline for most people with epilepsy. Changing medicines can be a difficult time. Regardless of seizure control, it’s common to be nervous that changing a form of medicine (from a generic to brand or brand to generic) or from one drug to another will “rock the boat” or make things worse. Of course, the goal is to make things better, but families need to know what they can do to manage these changes. They also need to learn how to advocate for themselves and work with insurance companies, pharmacists, and their health care team.

Join the Epilepsy Foundation Facebook page on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at 8 p.m. ET and talk with Barry Gidal, PharmD. He is a professor of pharmacy at University of Wisconsin-Madison and a member of the epilepsy.com Editorial Board for the Epilepsy Foundation. Most importantly, he is a leading expert in seizure medications and new therapies for epilepsy.
