Join us for an educational Webinar, “Ketogenic Diets: High Fat for Fewer Seizures," January 23, 2019. The ketogenic diet, a special high-fat, adequate protein, low-carbohydrate diet, is one of the oldest forms of medical treatment for epilepsy. It was first described in medical journals almost 100 years ago. The interest and scientific study of the treatment of epilepsy through nutrition has steadily been increasing since the 1990s. For children and adults with medication resistant epilepsy, the ketogenic diet may provide an additional treatment option to help reduce seizures and improve quality of life.
