I am 16 years old and was diagnosed with epilepsy at age about age 10. I had never had one in public until this year when i started going to parties and drinking. I never thought that drinking could trigger a seizure. When I woke up in the a hospital where they didnt speak any english I was so confused and scared I didnt know where I was or what I was doing there-- it was the scariest moment of my life. The nurse could only say that my dad and brother were in the waiting room. They had slept there although the doctor told them they could leave. They were so scared. My mom had to take my boyfriend and 2 friends home.

I remember being with my boyfriend in the basement. I was sitting on his lap on the floor when I fell back and slammed my head on the tile floor. He jerked me back up and asked me why I did that and I said I don't know. That is the last memory I have. The story was told to me that Iwent in to my seizure and boyfriend held my head and tried to reach the door but couldn't so he just yelled for HELP!!! My friend came down stairs and opened the door. She was so scared she went and got a girl that is like my older sister and they went in the room with me. Everybody kept trying to get in the room being concerned and scared. My sister kicked them out. Just her, my boyfriend, and friend were in there. I had 8 seizures and threw up 3 times. They had called my mom after the second one and she came. They had called the ambulance before my mom got there. My sister rode with me n the ambulance while my mom drove. I had 1 seizure in the ambulance and 2 at the hospital. I couldnt talk or comprehend anything. I was mumbling "where am I" the whole. i just kept going babababababa and drooling. The doctors told my parents that I was either going to die, be in a coma, or never talk or walk again.

I started having seizures at about 11:20 and woke up at 5:00 the next morning. I was in the hospital for 5 days. I had alot of tests done. Come to find out my seizures weren't because of alcohol but a date rape drug. Someone slipped it into my friends drink and i drank a little bit of it. The scary thing is I only had about 3 swigs. This experience has showed me who my real friends are. Almost everyone that was at the party doesn't talk to me because I supposedly ruined their weekend because they had to go home and couldn't smoke weed I guess. Thanks to all of those 11 convulsions I may not be able to do cheerleading next year. I hate having epilepsy. I used to be so popular, now everyone looks at me weird and like they feel sorry for me and talk bad about me. I wish I didn't have epilepsy and never would have had it in public. I really wish the person that put that the drug in my friend's drink would come apologize but they won't. Seizures have become my biggest fear.
