Does anyone really know what the underlying problem is causing your child to have seizures?

My 6 yr old son who started having seizures at 22 months old, was fairly stable until 12/ 18/09 and since then has had 12 seizures and no one can identify the underlying cause. We are tired of treating the symptom and want to treat the problem. Anyone w/ similar experiences?

Most doctors and Medical practitioners said that there are different underlying causes of epilepsy. Commonly are of hereditary and even brain injuries that could have been caused by trauma or since brain development during fetal growth. The reality is you must know the pre- seizure phase symptoms to provide safety by proper positioning to prevent injuries. Symptom treatments are the medication to be addressed to your child too, you can still have second - even more opinions payday loans with doctors that specialize in Neuro. Another important thing also is to inform the people in school or other groups and even during travel about your child's condition so as to provide safety at all times.

My son has PVL and we know that is probably the reason he has seizures - although they do tend to run in my family as well..  (I have relatives that have them)
