Take control of your epilepsy and seizures. Seizure management has never been easier.
TAKE CONTROL TODAYHi, we are new to the group. My husband was diagnosed with simple partial seizures in 1995. He is having some symptoms that he's thinking may be due to the seizures but we're not sure. He does have the bad smell toward the end of his seizures and occasionally sees things that aren't there. They only last about a minute. However, he keeps having what seems to be an acid reflux attack with a horrible taste in his mouth at the same time. The reason we are thinking that they are seizure related is because afterwards, he'll start asking me questions like "what day is it?" or "do I work tomorrow?" or "what did we do today?" Also, he has been to 2 ENTs and about 5 gastroenterologists to see if it's just an acid attack. After many tests, they can't seem to find anything wrong. His neurologist hasn't really said much about this symptom. Has anyone else ever experienced this along with a SPS? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! He's SO depressed because no one has been able to help him or at least tell him what is going on. Again, thank you so much for your help!!

Well, I have simple partials, and I usually gag and sometimes vomit right after one ends. I haven't been able to get any help with my seizures, so I don't have any advice, but I just thought I'd share that I had a similar symptom. I hope you find some relief. Have you tried anything that's worked for your SPS, meds or otherwise?
