My daughter was diagnosed with BRE in Jan of '08. The first year we tried to keep her off meds, but about a year in she had 12 grand mals in 7 days and we knew we didn't have a choice for her. The medicine seemed to have helped, and still is to a degree. she is still not having full on grand mals. She had only had a few partails up untill 2 months ago, now she is averaging about 4-5 a week and instead of the night time seizure we were used to is now happeneing during the day. She is misssing alot of school because they almost seem to be mutating back into grand mals. She is awake and able to somewhat function  for them, always shakes terrible, but dosn't have the catatonic state afterwards. she of course still feels the after effects, head aches, stomach aches, etc. We have upped her dose of Limictal so much since we started. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had an issue with Limictal, or dosage issue, and how long it took to find the right dose for you or your child?
