Hello Everyone,

 My name is Chris and I have had seizures since I was a baby. Through one of my dad's friends, I found a friend who also has seizures, only hers are a lot worse then mine. For example I can feel my seizures coming on minutes before they actually happen. This is  the reason why I can still drive and be as independent as someone without seizures can be. However my friend's warning time is only seconds, this is why she can not drive and has to be with one of her family members 24/7.

 She takes Trileptol while I take Tegretol and have Valuum for the times that I feel a seizure coming on. What I hate the most is to see my friend say that she feels one coming on and then wants to get out of her chair to tell her mother. I have seen numerous times when she falls because she felt one coming on, but did not stop what she was doing and sit down in a safe spot.

She really likes the fact that we are friends. The reason why is because we can talk about our experiences with seizures while knowing that the other person will understand. I have heard numerous times from other people that don't understand making fun of someone that is having a seizure and so on.

 My question is a lot of my friends and family wonder why I have not started a closer relationship with her. I am afraid though that it would be very hard for me to take care of her because I work 40 hours a week at a school job. Does anyone have any suggestions.
