Take control of your epilepsy and seizures. Seizure management has never been easier.
TAKE CONTROL TODAYI have had epilepsy since i was 2 years old . It all started with a high fever. also since a child I had ADHD. since 2000 I haven't had a convulsion, most of my seizures were absence seizures, and they usually happen when I'm sleeping. I never had one in a day and that is the reason I'm able to drive.
Now my ADHD is driving me crazy I'm not able to focus. The point is that I can't take ADHD medication because they will cause me to have seizures, and I don't want to have a convulsion because then they will take my license away.
Have anybody deal with this problem because I don't know what to do.

Regarding epilepsy and ADHD, know of a case where a person was suspected of having a type of epilepsy yet multiple EEGs were done (all read normal) and a number of epilepsy medicines were tried - none of which worked to reduce distractibility or increase attention span. Turns out the person has ADHD Inattentive including mild central auditory processing disorder and mild dyspraxia. The person responds a little to the very old medicine, caffeine (not a cure), which works better than Ritalin, Dexedrine, and Adderall to temporarily reduce ADHD Inattentive symptoms a little (not a cure). Sorry can't be of more help.
