Gaining weight since I went off Topamax

I was on both Topamax and Lamictal for a long time. My dr took me off topamax b/c I want to have a baby in the next year. Since then I gained 10-15 pounds. I also quit smoking. I want to know if anyone has gone through this too?

I was on Topomax for about 6 months and I lost 15 pounds! I found out after switching meds that Topomax is also used as an appetite suppressant. I had no appetite at all when I was taking it. So...my point is that you might be gaining weight simply because you have your appetite back (and it's normal).
