Epi-Still Nov 2009

I figured I would start a new topic on Epi-Still that will hopefully have current info moving forward within the discussion.

I have a 9 year old son with eplipsy and currently is having a tough time getting the seizures under control.  We have used Depakote, then Keppra while Depakote came down, and then to lamictal while keppra came down and finally just two days ago completely came off the lamictal.  My son has 1 seizure a week and with Lamictial at a theraputic level, he was having 2 or 3 a week.

We have Topomax in the cabinet ready to go, but since our son has other developmental issues, we haven't been that excited about starting Topomax.

We saw the info about Epi-Still and I must admit, I like the idea of these kinds of solutions to problems, but really find a lot of it to be questionable.  All you have to do is read the site and you realize a lot of the wording, claims, the reason for, how it works, why it works, what others are saying, etc... is extremely vague...  It leaves so many unanswered questions.   For example one of the FAQ's, does it really work?   Answer yes, because we have a lot of people reordering it.  ??? So that means it works?    They use the word harmony and balance on that site many times and to me that is just more wishy washy, nothing solid about the product.

So here I am on the epliepsy forum with so many doubts about this Epi-Still, the site, the claims, etc...  I want these silly little drops in my son's water and two nerve tonic pills to be the magic thing that stops all the seizures and we can get back onto a normal path.   I have read where some are worried about the side effects of Epi-Still (even though the site says there are no side effects).  It is all natural it can't be bad. (Rattlesnakes are all natural as well).

I like to hear from anyone out there that is using Epi-Still and is having success with it or didn't have success.  Include some of the meds you have used before Epi-Still, with Epi-Still or no longer use because you only use Epi-Still.  If this product is great and is really helping people, then I'd like to be able to share some of that success right here.  At the same time if it is just like any other meds out there, works for some, doesn't for others, then that can also be shared.

I'd trust the information here more then I would on the products website.
