TAKE CONTROL TODAYHi, my name is Sebastian, I'll be 17 in about 10 days =)
To get to the point, I've had these weird little 'episodes' since Grade 8 that were so confusing, and I had no idea why they started. Basically, I would get this feeling like I need to use the washroom, and sometimes it would lead to a very embarrassing incident where I would stall and shake for a very small amount of time, then I would laugh after or just shake my head in frustration / confusion.
When I was 6 years old or so, I have this semi-vivid memory of waking in the middle of the night, not being able to see, (I wasn't scared for some reason) and I walked to the bathroom, turned on the light and still couldn't see properly. It was as if my dream was stuck as a slide over my eyes. I went to my mom's room and told her I couldn't see (which she remembers), and so I just fell asleep in her bed and I woke up and could see fine the next day.
Another weird incident occured around the age of 8 or 9, I was saying goodbye to my friend for the night before my step-dad drove him home, and I suddenly lost the strength in my legs, and it felt funny. I wasn't scared again, just shocked, my mom thought I was just being an attention seeker, but she laid me down on the couch and assumed it was a body flu.
Well, on labor day weekend a month n' a half ago, I was up til' 4AM 'partying' with friends (Weed / 40's of beer etc.). It could even have been way later in the morning that I went to the tent, but I ended up in my friend's tent we set up with my other two friends Sophie and Mike. I'm not sure how long I'd fallen asleep before, but I got the shaking feeling again, without the feeling of peeing. I knew I was awake, and I knew I was shaking, but I couldn't open my eyes.
The shaking continued for what I thought was an eternity, I was panicking, I was breathing so strange, and I even started imagining that my friend Sophie was standing over me, comforting me by saying 'WERE GONNA GET HELP! DON'T WORRY!" then I heard freakishly unsettling ringing, like I was about to die, then I could finally open my eyes!!!
Once my eyes were opened, I realised I HAD been shaking, and I could not feel my body, or any of my limbs. I was forcing out a loud 'Heaelp..." to my friends, all my words were fumbled...and my friends told me it was a sickening help, like a military casualty pleading through bloody lips. They didn't believe me at first, and I was screaming and yelling at them to help me up, and I couldn't feel my body while I was hyper-ventilating. My friend Mike said he didn't believe me because he claimed I had been laughing, which I don't remember at all.
I had no idea what had happened, until two weeks ago on a Thrusday night, I fell asleep at 3AM, only to wake myself again with eyes closed, to shaking for about 1-2 mins. (I'm actually not sure how long the first two lasted, I just assume that my memory serves me well) I called for my mom after listening to my hyper-ventilating breath overlap, and tricking myself into believeing somebody was standing over me, helping me. (It turned out to just be me...hearing weird). 5 days after that, last week on Tuesday, I had another at 7AM at my friends house. Same deal, but my left hand felt like it was trying to let go of something very vigorously, and when it ended I was able to stand up within 5 mins. and go to the washroom.
Some of my most major concerns are:
-Does the pee feeling have to do with the seizures? For the last three days actually, I've had discomfort in my 'crotch area' as if I need to pee, but I know I don't, and I just have the looming feeling it will eventually lead to a seizure.
-Do the childhood incidents represent early warning signs of future seizure-issues?
I haven't got a call from the neurologist I was assigned, or the CT Scan that was appointed by my family doctor. So no medication yet, no nothing. Just Ativan in case a seizure occurs.
Thanks very much for any feedback. =|

im 17 as well, and this is what happened with me.
i was diagnosed with epilepsy in first grade, but then never took any seizures, and still have never taken a full "convulsion" seizure since. However, i had become especially "spacey" and EXTREMELY forgetful come highschool years, so i went to the doctor's and they found out it was because of the epilepsy.
my point is, i dont know what you have, and i cannot diagnose you. however, i know that i wasn't sure what my problem was either. However, i got a full "neoropsych report" from a neorologist, who narrowed it down to what i had... i assume if you see a neurologist, they are/had done this(?)
...if they havnt, ask for one, and they can tell you whether its epilepsy. it could be something completely different, such as anxiety attacks, night terrors, etc...
