Hi All,
I had left temporal lobe surgery on the 12th July this year. The first month was great - nothing really to complain about and I spent most of my days going for walks and then relaxing at home.
I then started working (11 August) and since then my life has been uncontrollable
Hello,
How do I get the doctors to listen to me when they think it all in my head?
Let me start at the beginning.
So I had my first EEG this morning. It started alright..the EEG tech had epilepsy as well and we were carrying on a wonderful conversation. She made me feel very comfortable. I was a little nervous when she was attaching the wires to my head and the alcohol was making my scalp sting..but other than that it was cool. Ugh then the strobe lights came on. Slow at first , then sped up. By the time the third speed came I started getting "THE" nasty feeling in my head..I started crying and hyperventilating. I was so embarrassed. I couldnt believe I was crying!!
hello everyone, I am new to the site. My now 2 year old daughter has
taken her first dose of topamax this morning for her "spells". It is a
long story. I'll start from the beginning. When my daughter was about
6 months old she would have episodes of down beat nystagmus that lasted
about 15-30 minutes. She would be able to look at you if you said her
name, but she would soon drift back to the nystagmus. at about 10-11
months she quit having these episodes. then at approx 18 months she
startes having episodes of fine horizontal nystagmus with vomiting,

Hi, My name is Rena. I've had epilepsy for 10 years, I have complex partial seizures. I also have bad migranes and panic attacks. I take lamictal, topamax and vimpat. I use to have seizures every week. I started taking vimpat recently and it has decreased my seizures.
Memory is a big problem with me as I'm sure it is with many of you. A nocturnal sz for me (all of mine but 1 are nocturnal) devestates my memory. Myself and others have noticed some improvement lately and I can't help but wonder if it has anything to do with the fact I've been going to the gym about 6 days a week for an intense cardio workout.
My dr believes I may have been misdiagnosed with a heart arrhythmia and am having seizures. I wake up around 3am occasionally, feeling extremely nauseous and like i've been hit by a truck, as far as anxiety. I KNOW what's coming next, I have a few minutes of warning. Plenty of time to wake my husband up and get a drink, I usually pace back and forth a few seconds before waking up my husband. My heart often races during this time, and sometimes I get a major burning feeling in the back of my upper neck and in the back of my head.
