Oh my I found this because I was looking for exactly info on bilateral slow waves! I got my EEG back and I have bilateral slow waves in my frontal lobes. My nuero said thats abnormal but means nothing since it likely "just might indicate hypoglycemia". It means something to me! I have decided to do some research on it now and am looking into how my blood sugar could bee affecting my seizures or triggering them. That's all I know right now.

I also had that show up on my EEG also.  I'm on two types of seizures meds, Tegretol and Topomax.  Because the slow brain waves showed up , my neurologist ordered a MRI which results came back okay.  But I"m still on seizure meds...its frustrating isn't it?   When doctor's don't tell you info!   SO frustrating!  Are you on medication?

hiya, thanks so much for your reply!! at the moment i havent been given any medication..... instead im being sent backwards and forwards from the hospital for tests on my heart?? lol i know they have to outrule anything that could be causing these " blackouts" as they so kindly put it!! Im so angry at the moment, my gp explained to me yesterday that even though hes no expert on neurological problems, going off my eeg result, he thinks thats normal???? christ sakes, if it was normal the letter of results would of stated that surely!!! im going out of my mind now, the neuro consultant has discharged me from his clinic to put me on a 3 month watch and wait.... i have had at least 5 seizures since i last saw him and sometimes i can go months with none and then have them on a weekly basis! iv got a feeling if iv had none in the next three months and my heart tests come back normal, im gonna get told to go home theres nothing wrong with me and continue to suffer alone!! frustrating yes, but im past that now, im furious! i had an mri before i had the eeg and the mri came back normal... thanks for the reply and ur right, test results with no explanation are so annoying !! x
