Our 4 year old had his first tonic-clonic seizure in November. From my standpoint the world stopped, it was horrible. I know that's a little dramatic but I was totally unprepared. I recognized that it was a seizure right away, I just didn't expect him not to breathe during this. I was so scared and felt totally helpless...even as I was screaming at the 911 operator. We did get answers rather quickly with the EEG results a few days later, showing "epileptic activity" and the referral to a pediatric neurologist out of state (we live in a rather rural area).

I'm sure you guys get a lot of posts like "do i have epilepsy" etc. So please
bear with me..I'm confused, have no diagnosis, no answers and no ideas. I am
being sent for an EEG Feb 21st...but from what i have been reading, that may not
even give me any kind of answers. I'm going to take you thru my experience, and
please feel free to add any thoughts or opinions.

I am wondering if anyone taking lamictal or its generic is experiencing problems with tooth enamel.  My son has been taking lamictal for three years, the dentist recommended pro-namel toothpaste and pro-namel mouth wash to rebuild his enamel; however it does not appear to be helping.  The enamel problems were thought to be cause by the large amount of fruit he eats, but I am wondering if it is the medicine.

I will be in the middle of a conversation and totally forget what we are talking about, or what i was saying or what the other person said. It also happens when I watch tv. i just space out for a while i guess and miss portions of the show or movie. luckily i can rewind it. this happens at work,|I'll be doing some important paperwork then all of a sudden forget what i was doing and cant finish the form. it interferes with my life, i also "space out" quite frequently.... I do have grand mal (tonic/clonic) and complex partial seizures.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on something that I'm not too sure about. I have temporal lobe epilepsy and I only have simple partial seizures. I think I may have had a complex partial a long time ago, and that is only because I "zoned out" while reading a book for a few seconds. Anyways, my doctor has mentioned the word "surgery" because I have failed almost every medication out there...besides the dreaded old medications that no one wants to take because of the horrible side effects. (I haven't tried those yet) Best for last right!

hi i have being resently was advised by my Gp to a neurologist as i might have epilepsy, so i decided to a little research myself and found my symptons to be like catamenial epilepsy . i wanted to see if anyone shared my experience?

does anyone ever experience or now if there is relation between auras and intercourse

i have been on medication for 30 years. i have noticed after about 8 years my side effects are worse then when i first been on them. I have not a seizure in 25 years then all of a sudden i had 4. this is due to me cutting back on the medication i have been on. 8 years ago i started a new medication and the side effects are now getting worse. does this happen to anyone else?
