Dating in epilepsy and who?

When I think of Dating and being almost 35 and only 2 relationships that were both horrific the only women I have ever met that only understood what epilepsy was and were not disturbed by seeing what it was or being near me having a seizure were nurses (and I love cute nurses in their uniforms..) They are also big on sense of humor and not taking any crap from anyone so they have my respect for a lot of things besides just this. In 2004 I had one of my worst seizures while sleeping in a hotel on Christmas Eve with a girl I was with for 4 years and she got upset because during the seizure my hand struck her belly and woke her up and she did not like watching me for the other 8 minutes of it, even though she knew about my condition since day 1. I made sure she never had to witness this before but we were 3.5 hours away from home to visit my Family for Christmas. So after my 2 hours of crying with guilt and it being Christmas morning we went to my Moms and she left me there. A nurse would not have done this or anyone in the Medical Field who is familiar with Epilepsy and the suffering involved. We all deserve a loving person who understands the last thing we need is suffering from another due to their added hatred of our own to the condition. We are all loved and it is out there which means when we find it, it means that much more to us because when you when you get to your destination while walking a spiked path barefoot the horizon always looks like heaven.This was easy to learn in life as in my story.

I STARTED WITH MY EP WHEN I WAS IN MY TEEN YEARS, BUT THEY COULD NOT COME UP WITH WHY. THEY DID ALL THEIR TESTING. HERE I AM 32 YEARS OLD WITH A 13YR OLD AND A 12 YEAR OLD. I'VE HAD MY TUBES TIED RIGHT HAFTER MY SECOND CHILD WAS BORN BECAUSE OF MY EP. LATER I FIND OUT I HAD CANCER STARTING SO I HAD TO HAVE A HYSTORECTOMY. SO NOW I CAN'T HAVE ANY MORE, EVEN IF I WANTED TOO, AND THERE ARE TIMES I WANT TOO, A LOT.
I USED TOO MARRIED TO A TERRIBLE ABUSIVE PIG. I'LL NEVER FORGET BEFORE MY DAD WALKED ME OUT TO GET MARRIED I WAS ALREADY DREESED AND READY TO GO. THERE WAS A DOOR IN THE BACK, LIKE AN EMEREGENCY EXIT, AND MY DAD SAID HE DIDN'T CARE HOW MUCH WAS SPENT, HE WOULD RATHER PARTY FOR MY HAPPINESS THAN PARTY FOR MY SADNESS LATER, AND SOME HOW DADDY'S ARE ALWAYS RIGHTS.
I'M DIVORCED NOW, MY EX USED MY EP AGAINST ME TO TAKE MY KIDS AFTER HE REMARRIED. BEFORE WE HAD CAME UP WITH AN AGREEMENT. WELL THE NEW WIFE THOUGHT SHE COULD MOVE IN AND TAKE OVER. IT'S TAKING A LONG TIME TO FIGHT IT, BUT I'M PROVING THEM WRONG, THE BEST I CAN.
I LIVE DOWN HERE IN THE SOUTH DEEP DOWN HERE IN THE SOUTH WHERE THE BEST THING YOU NEED IS TO KEEP YOUR NEIGHBOR YOUR FOR FRIEND. THIS DEEP SOUTH OF LOUISIANA, SO IF AN HURRICANE COMES YOU, EVERY ONES NEEDS TOO KEEP PEACE, WELL MY EX'S NEW WIFE SAID SHE GOT WHAT SHE WANTED, MY EX, A HOUSE, A JOB, AND MY KIDS. SHE DON'T NEED FRIENDS. WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY SHE HAS NO FRIENDS HERE. (SHE COMES FROM MIDDLE PART OF MISSISSIPPI.) AND NO I'M NOT JEALOUS.
WHAT GETS ME IS HE IS SUCH A HATEFUL PERSON BUT YET HE COMES OUT WINNING WITH REMARRING, HAVING MY KIDS AND STILL IN A WAY RUNNING MY LIFE, AND ABUSING ME. THIS BATTLE FOR MORE TIME WITH MY KIDS HAVE BEEN GOING ON SINCE HE REMARRIED.
I DATED ONE GUY AND IT WAS ONLY BECAUSE I NEW HIM AND HE NEW ME. HE NEW ABOUT MY EP AND TRIED TO LIVE WITH IT BUT I SMOKE AND AFTER MAKING A FEW BURN MARKS IN HIS HOUSE I WAS PUT OUTSIDE TO SMOKE, HE'S A BEER DRINKER, I CAN PUT UP WITH SOME ONE WHO DRINKS A LITTLE, BUT WHEN YOU WILL DRINK TILL YOUR DRUNK, NO. I USED TO LIVE WITH HIM, UNTIL WE HAD ENOUGH OF EACH OTHER. ATLEAST WE GOT OVER THE ANGER AND ARE STILL FRIENDS.
FOR THE DATING PART I WOULN'T KNOW WHERE TO START I WOULN'T KNOW WHO OR HOW TO TRUST AGAIN. THIS WORLD IS TOO BIG WITH LIES AND DENIES, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN
I guess each and everyone of us has lived through something like this. even if we do say it lound and clear, when they witness it they don't like it. They think that it's within our hands to control it if we only wished. But, they on't realize or understand that it is not in our hands. that's how some people are. But, don't lose hope, one day you are bound to meet someone who will understand u and be there for you when you need them. I am clinging to the same ray of hope.
