Lamictal and birth control pills

I was wondering if anyone on Lamictal was also taking birth control pills. My neurologist said that there is no interaction, however I read 2 studies online that found oral contraceptives to decrease Lamictal dose-concentration level by almost half. I was just curious if anyone experienced any negative effects after starting birth control pills while on Lamictal?
