Epilepsy and other seizure types

Hi folks!

I was just wondering if any of you could shed any light on my situation. Since childhood I have had seziures. Both epileptic and reflex anoxic. I stopped taking medication when I was around 10 or 11 for the epilepsy, as it was (I think) complex partial childhood epilepsy. Since then, I have had seizures at a rate of maybe once a year, and have always believed that these were reflex anoxic- just based on the way they felt (a long build up) and the circumstances within which they occured. The last few months I have had about 4 'episodes' of these (I am 20). I mentioned this to my doctor, and she believes that this sudden increase in frequency should be investigated. She also said that she does not believe that these can be reflex anoxic, as they normally occur in children. I was wondering what a community of people who have issues with seizures thought! The seizures over the last decade have always been with a slow build up, load buzzing in ears, spots of light, 'heavy' feeling in the face. I think I only convulse slightly during them and they do not last long. I can't say for certain, but there is a tenuous connection with stress- the more stressed I am the more likely I will have these, but the link is not overwhelming.

I am just curious on other opinions, has anyone here had a mix of non-epileptic and epileptic? How do you distinguish between the two? Which do you think I still experience? Do you guys have any coping mechanisms when you experience a sudden increase in frequency? Be nice to hear from you.

P.S. I also have a chronic pain disorder... I have heard that they may be linked?
