Is an elevated body temp common during a seizure

18 year old nephew had a full blown seizure out of the blue. Never had one before. His dad said that he was burning up to touch while this was going on. He was hospitalized overnight and then discharged with the hospital saying that they would set up appointments with experts in the next little while. He did have a brain scan which showed no injury or tumors.  So right now we are in limbo but I am wondering if the elevated body temp is common with epilepsy or could this be something else? I know no one here can diagnose but we are searching for help as we wait.
