Take control of your epilepsy and seizures. Seizure management has never been easier.
TAKE CONTROL TODAYDiastat is well absorbed following rectal administration and reaches peak plasma concentrations in 1.5 hours. The half-life in adults is approximately 46 hours. Diazepam and its major active metabolite desmethyldiazepam are over 95% protein-bound.
Diazepam is metabolized in the liver by the CYP3A4 and CYP2C19 isoenzymes to one major active metabolite (desmethyldiazepam) and two minor active metabolites.
