People with a history of kidney stones or those who need to take high doses of vitamin C or calcium supplements, however, also probably should not take Topamax because of the increased risk of kidney stones.
People who have kidney disease need to be extra cautious about taking Topamax.
Interactions occur with many other medicines. It is very important to make sure the doctor knows about every kind of medicine that is being taken. Most people can take both Topamax and other medicines successfully by working with the doctor to determine the correct amount to take.
