All women should be aware of how their epilepsy and treatment may affect their health. They also need to understand how their hormones and life stages may affect their seizures at different points in their life. This section highlights some information all women should know and talk about with their health care team.
Use the Discussion Checklist at the end of this section as a reminder of what to talk about with your health care team.
Keep in mind that having epilepsy may affect your life in other ways, for example relationships, independence, driving, work, education and much more. Don't forget to look at these issues and talk to your health care team for guidance and support. Your local Epilepsy Foundation affiliate may have resources to help too!
