TAKE CONTROL TODAYEpilepsy.com members can upload their own podcasts to be displayed throughout the website. These audio files may contain any self-generated content the member wishes, but may not contain any copyrighted material. By creating a podcast and uploading episodes, the member's podcast may be distributed through epilepsy.com as "Related Media" paired with pages on the website.
How do I start a podcast?
Creating a podcast is a fairly simple process, but does require several items to get started such as a microphone and a program capable of recording your material. Learn more about how to record your podcast through the link below.
Adding your podcast to epilepsy.com
When logged in to the Multimedia Center, click the orange "Upload Podcast" link in the center of the page. This will take you to a form where you can fill out data about your podcast and upload it to the epilepsy.com server.
Adding episodes to your podcast
After you have created your master podcast, you can upload new episodes at any time. To do so, simply go back to the main Podcast page and again follow the same steps above: click the orange "Upload Podcast" button, upload your file and add a title, tags, and description. The system will recognize your username and assign this new file as the most recent episode to your podcast.
Promotion of your podcast
After creating a podcast and at least one associated file, your podcast will be displayed around epilepsy.com. First, on the Podcast page itself your listing should appear in the "Latest" podcasts added as well as the "All" podcasts in alphabetical order. Your podcast will also appear throughout the site in the "Related Media" module, if relevant based on the tags you entered and the tags of the given page. Finally, if you have a My Story page, your podcast will now appear in your story for friends and family to find.
