Multimedia Center Help

The Multimedia Center is divided into three sections: Video, Podcast, and Animations, described below.

Videos
The Videos page within the Multimedia Center serves as the home of all videos on epilepsy.com which are then broadcast throughout the website as "Related Media." From the main Multimedia Center page, clicking on the Videos link will take you to this main page.

On the Videos page, the Video Index container displays the videos most recently added to epilepsy.com. By clicking on the "Preview" link, you will see a brief description of the video, its rating from other epilepsy.com members, and its tags. To view the video, simply click on the title.

Individual video pages load the selected video in the main portion of your browser window. Click the large arrow (">") symbol in the middle of the video to start playing, r control display with the orange play/pause buttons in the lower left corner of the player. To the right of the video, logged-in members can Save and Email the video, while all visitors can also Rate the video being viewed. Below the main video window you will see a "Related Content" module, which pulls in Forums, Blogs, People Stories, Editorial, Video, and/or Wiki content that are appropriate based on the video's tags.

Podcasts
A podcast is a digital file that is distributed over the internet via a stream or a download. The podcasts available on epilepsy.com are audio files, generally in .mp3 format.

From the main Multimedia Center page, click on Podcasts to view all Podcasts stored on epilepsy.com. Here, you will see the latest podcasts added to the site as well as an alphabetical listing of all podcasts available. By clicking on an individual "Preview" link, you can see the podcast's rating, the most recent episode title, the most recent episode's rating, and the associated tags. Click on the podcast title to go to see a full user's podcast listing.

On an individual user's podcast page, you can see all episodes that the user has uploaded, including descriptions and tags. To the right, you can rate the podcast, while logged in users also can save and subscribe to the podcast, through iTunes or RSS. Orange buttons in the main content allow you to download individual episodes from epilepsy.com.

Animations
Much like Videos and Podcasts, by clicking on the Animations link in the Multimedia Center you can view all Animations available on epilepsy.com.

On the Animations page, the center column contains preview modes for each animation available. By clicking on the Animation title, a window will expand to play that particular animation within the content.
