Chat Room Technical Help

The epilepsy.com Chat Room is a Java-based applet. It is possible that some users' settings will conflict with the Chat Room settings and prevent those users from being able to enter the Chat Room. If you are having trouble accessing this feature, the off-site links below should help resolve your problems.

General Tips:
If you have problems with the chat application, the first thing you should do is upgrade your Java Applet Software to the latest version. To do this, visit these links, and follow the instructions:

  1. Test to see if Java is enabled: http://www.javatester.org/enabled.html
  2. Test to see what version of Java you are using: http://www.javatester.org/version.html
  3. Install the Java Software: http://www.javatester.org/installing.html
  4. Configure your browser to accept Java Applet requests: http://www.javatester.org/configuring.html
