Fundraising

Do you want to make a difference?

YOU CAN!

You can help raise money to find new treatments for epilepsy.

You can help raise money to keep bringing you new information and features on epilepsy.com.

Fundraising. It can actually be really easy if you get creative (or if you steal some ideas from someone else)! There are all the traditional ways to raise money like hosting a marathon or a race or even going door-to-door to ask for money. But if you want to do something more creative, hold a bake sale, a car wash, take friends or family to the airport and have them make a donation, babysit for a neighbor or family member and have them make a donation instead of paying you. When it's your birthday, ask your family and friends to make a donation to the Epilepsy Therapy Project in honor of you and your birthday -- or anniversary, or wedding. Pick an event or festivity or make one up. You can find more ideas here.

It's as easy as

1. go to www.firstgiving.com/epilepsy
2. Click on  Get Started
3. Fill in the blanks and create your own webpage

Just setup your own, personal Firstgiving page that talks about you and why you want to help. You can post your own photos (from your Flikr account), a video (from your YouTube account), and your request to people to help. You can then email that page to your friends and family asking for them to help.
