My Poor Family !

I was on my way to work one morning, and out of the blue, I felt like I was going to pass out.I slowed my truck down and tried to find a place to pull over. The next thing I knew, I was coming to, staring at a big tree, I had crashed into.

My had blood all over me, from hitting the steering wheel.I was dizzy and confuzed. I really wasn't sure what had happened, all I knew was that I did'nt hurt anyone but myself.(I did kill my truck) I grabbed my cell phone and called my boss to let them know I was going to be late for work. Then I called my Husband and tolded Him what had happened.

I heard someone across the street hollering at me, "Are you alright?" I said "Yes". My husband was there in no time at all. He took me to the ER. They ran all kind of tests. In the middle of a test I passed out again. They could not find anything wrong with me.

After my black eyes and brused face healed I went back to work. I passed out again. I woke up on the hard cement with my boss whiping my face with a wet cloth, telling me not to move. The EMT's came, checked my sugar and all the other things they do. I told them I was feeling better and did not want to go to the hospital.

There were customers and employees all staring at me, I didn't know what had happened, but it was embarrassing.

Someone called my husband. When he showed up, he was scared and angry that no one had taken me to the hospital. I told him that I sent the EMT's away. He was upset with me for doing so, but he was scared for me. I understand that now. So, back to the hospital we went where they ran more tests. CT'S, MRI'S, EEG'S, etc.

This time, they found an aneurysm on the left side of my brain. My husband and I talked with our doctor, he referred us to a specialist, who referred us to another specialist, in which we did go see. We talked over our options and decided to go with the corrective surgery and have the aneurysm coiled.

We waited a couple of months for an opening for this surgery, which felt like forever to me and my family. Anyway, the aneurysm surgery was successfully

completed. I think I was released to go home the next day(I don't remember. On the way home I passed out again! My poor husband! We were too far from any hospital at this time. My husband called the university where I had just had my surgery. I told my husband I'm just tired from everything and just need to go on home. I finally talked my husband into just taking me home.

I slept that night on the couch because my leg hurt so bad from where they put the catheter up my artery to get to my aneurysm in my brain to fill it with the platinum coils so it wouldn't burst and kill me. But that next day I felt really dizzy and sick. I told my husband and son that I just felt really terrible. Then I passed out!

My husband and son got me to the car and took me to the hospital. I really don't remember much of the ride. I remember the front door of the hospital and then I was in one of the ER rooms with monitors on me. We were there for hours. I was feeling better and just wanted to go home. Finally after more hours went by and nothing happened, I talked my husband into getting me checked out. I was almost released when I passed out again. I woke up to a doctor over me shaking me, trying to get me to come to. I didn't know what had just happened. Lucky I still was hooked up to the moniter. I was told that my heart had pretty much almost stopped. So they said I needed a pacemaker! I was like, well, OK! I guess so. My poor family!

They started to prep me for the emergency surgery, one heart Doctor talked to another, (I was all doped up and sanitized and they were getting ready to cut into me when one of the Doctors made a call to another Doctor and they called the surgery off until the next morning, for when the other Heart specialist could do the proccedure.

So they had me doped up all night so I wouldn't exert myself or be that coherent to get all worked up about my situation. (My Poor Family!)

The next day came and I had the pacemaker put into my chest. I was awake for the whole thing. The Doctor and his Team were wonderful!

Ok, now I'm back home sore but feeling confident that I'm Fixed and ready to get on with my life, and my family can finally relax!

I can't remember how much time had gone by that I didn't have any problems. But, one scary day, that ended.

I wasn't feeling very well so I went into my bedroom to check my blood pressure. That's all I remember!

My husband had got home from work and found me with the blood pressure cuff dangling from arm. I had blood and scrapes on my left side. I had bitten my tounge and the inside of my mouth. My left knee was bleeding from where I had thrashed it on the carpet. I had messed myself up! The next thing I knew, I was waking up in a hospital room. I was trying to talk but I wasn't making any sence. I guess I was like this for almost 24 hours. I had experienced a full blown Epileptic Grand Mal. All I can tell you is the next day I felt like I got ran over by a semi truck. But I finally found out why I passed out from the get go, so many months ago. Wow, what a ride it's been.

What an emotional ride for my Family and Friends.

So, now it's a new adventure trying to find the right seizure meds that will work for me. So far I've been on several different meds. I get so excited when I have a day without any problems. It gets frustrating and I get depressed at times. I do thank Our Lord for being alive and maybe someday we'll find something that will work.

Until then, Think Positive, Thank God for being here !

I Thank My Wonderful Family and Friends for standing by me.
