I try my best not to worry, not to cry. Yet this is a battle that is forever & my heart hurts deep within. Sometimes I wish I can take it from my daughter & she would no longer have to suffer. So she will be able to play with the other kids, to be able to just walk across the room without falling down from the seizures & tremors she has on a daily basis.

I look in her eyes and see the hurt & confusion within her. I try to talk to her & comfort her with LOVE & PATIENCE I have inside for her. Some wonder how can I do what I do when it comes to my daughter? I tell them she is my true blessing from GOD, and he only gives you what he knows you can handle. My job is to love my daughter no matter what the issue is, she depends on us, we are her voice & if she has something to say but she can't form the words. But as her mother I know just what she wants & needs.

I cry on a daily basis because the neurologists are now saying that my daughter has a condition called Lennox-Gastaut, which is one of the worst forms of epilepsy to have. It's like bricks falling on my heart to know that she now has yet another demon to fight on top of the other health issues. She has Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, hearing impairment and vision problems. She was diagnosed with seizures at 10 months old (Infantile Spasms/West Syndrome). So as you can see we have been fighting this battle from the very begining.

Sometimes I feel like this is a battle that has defeated us.
