Clinicians Portal on My Epilepsy Diary - Count Down to Launch!
epilepsy.com has opened a portal for doctors and nurses (clinicians) who treat people with epilepsy to allow the clinician to access a patient's Epilepsy Diary, provided that the patient gives permission for them to do so. A clinician would have to register once at https://my.epilepsy.com/irody/cliniciansportal (this link may change in the future). The patient would go to the "My Shares" section of the Epilepsy Diary, and grant that clinician access to their Diary account. The Clinician could then visit the patient's diary. In a separate action, patients can choose to email a summary of their seizures, medications and side effects to their doctor by going to the "My Reports" section, generating a report, clicking "email report" and typing in their doctor's email. Users should be aware that emails sent in this way may: 1. not be private, and 2. may not be read right away, so urgent problems should be communicated directly to the medical office.
