Clinicians Portal on My Epilepsy Diary - Count Down to Launch!
The website, epilepsy.com, a non-profit educational site sponsored by the
Epilepsy Therapy Project (ETP), has an online Epilepsy Diary now used by
several thousand people with epilepsy. The My Epilepsy Diary is a useful
tool that provides a method to record and graph seizures, medications,
side-effects, missed medication events and more. Access can be by any
on-line computer or even some smart phones (currently an app is available
for iPhone and iPod; Android app to launch soon.) The software can also
issue medication reminders to a pager or phone.
Epilepsy.com has now opened a Clinicians Portal that allows patients to
grant their doctors and nurses permission to access his/her Diary
account. A clinician would have to register once at: www.epilepsy.com/clinicians.
Registration is free. The Clinician could then log-in and view the
patient's diary at any time.
Ask your doctor if he or she has already registered at
www.epilepsy.com/clinicians. If so, then you can go in and grant your
doctor access today. If not, then ask your doctor to register.
