Welcome to Our Community!
Each month we highlight our Community - what's happening, hot topics, recent or upcoming events. This month, I'd like to give a 'shout out' to two of our members, Sassymindy and Dayna, who spoke at the Epilepsy Therapy Project's Family Day Conference in San Francisco in February. They both took giant steps and spoke out, sharing their experiences and challenges with epilepsy, and offered guidance and support to so many people. If you haven't seen the webcast of the conference, take a look!
I'd also like to ask your help. Many of you first came here to find someone else with seizures and learn how seizures may affect your life, or how to cope with them. I'd love to have you write for the newsletter so we can share experiences, challenges and tips to an even bigger audience! You can write about epilepsy, something you've found helpful, tips to manage your epilepsy, ways you've reached out to spread the word about epilepsy, or stories to make us smile, laugh and be hopeful! We'd like to post these on our Facebook site too as this becomes another way to reach out and connect with each other. Your entry doesn't need to be long - a couple sentences, paragraphs or a page. Whatever you want to share.
If you are willing to do this, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember, this site is for you- people with epilepsy, families, friends, and all those who care for and about epilepsy, and we need your help to spread the word and tackle epilepsy together!
With best wishes to all,
