My Health Care Team

This section of the website discusses the health care team involved in a patient's care. The person most central to this team is you—the patient. This notion has changed in recent decades. Patients were once viewed as passive recipients of health care. Now patients are expected to be partners in their own health, and the relationship between patients and doctors, as well as that between patients and all other members of the health care team, should be interactive and based on open communication and trust. Check out the topics listed in the left column of your screen to learn:

  1. How you can make the most of your relationship with the doctor and other members of the health care team
  2. How different members of the health care team help to treat epilepsy
